ENGINE OIL TOP UP

How to Top Up your Engine Oil

The best way to ensure that your car stays in top condition is through proper maintenance. This can take various forms, from something as simple as washing it thoroughly, to organising a regular service schedule. One form of maintenance that is extremely important is ensuring that your engine oil stays at the recommended level. Engine oil is critical in reducing wear and tear on the moving parts of the engine and protects against the extreme heat that the engine generates. This not only adds life to irreplaceable parts of your engine but a number of these lubricants can increase your fuel efficiency and can potentially reduce your costs.

How can an engine oil increase fuel efficiency?

You may be trying to understand how engine oil affects fuel usage. Depending on the thickness (viscosity) of your engine oil, the harder the engine has to work to push the oil throughout the engine components. Your vehicle takes from your fuel supply to help power the engine and keep it running. So the thinner your engine oil, the better your fuel efficiency is as long as the lubrication needs of your vehicle are specifically met. However, many people specifically look for high viscosity oil to provide the fullest protection to their engine.

It takes a great engine oil to perform all these functions and to find the right balance while doing this. As Total Quartz lubricants are flowing through your engine, you can be safe in the knowledge that you are using a quality lubricant.
